Research interests: From the models of the vehicle behaviour and vehicle dynamics as well as of the wheel road interface, emphasis is placed on the identification techniques of the vehicle parameters, then on the various aspects of modelling and identification of the driver. These techniques allowed the design of a number of automotive (and aeronautical) subsystems such as braking systems. The necessities of global integration of these systems led to the design of driving aid sysyems validated on MIAM’s four prototype vehicles (example : the Navigation Aided, Intelligent Cruise Control -NAICC- project )
